Set
Derived catalogue of the sets themselves, with distinct-card and printing counts.
A set is a release of cards. The catalogue entry carries the official code and name, the release date and counts.
Where it appears
registry.json → sets[]sets.json, the cataloguesets/{set_code}.json, which replaces the cards count with the list of cards
Fields
Every field is present on every record; a value that does not apply is null, never missing. Types are from the release's schema; the schema itself is the contract.
| Field | Type | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
set_code | set code: three digits, or three letters for the registry's own or null | The official three-digit code. A label, not an order: 003 is unused. |
set_name | string | The official display name. |
released_at | date, YYYY-MM-DD or null | Derived: the earliest released_at among the set's printings. |
cards | integer | Distinct cards in the set. |
printings | integer | Printings in the set. |
kind | "release", "promo" or "registry" | What the set is, as the registry records it (data/sets.json); never read from the code. release: a set release, whose printings came out with it. promo: the publisher's bucket for promos (999), which came out with many releases; each printing's released_with says which. registry: a set of the registry's own for printings the official API will never serve, such as CUR. |
origin | "api" or "manual" | 'manual' when every printing in the set is a manual record, as for a set code of the registry's own; 'api' otherwise. |
api_url | string or null | Derived: this set's JSON object on api.kairosarchive.net; null only for a set without a code. |
kairos_url | string or null | Derived: this set's page on kairosarchive.net. |
